We invite you to spend the day with us as we explore the Psalms written by King David, inspired by the Holy Spirit, and prayed by Our Lord Himself. With our patron, Saint Augustine as our guide, we will enter into these hymns of praise, thanksgiving, sorrow, healing, and mercy—prayed by the whole Church for the salvation of the world, through our Head, Jesus Christ.  Our prayer is that this day of lectures, prayer, and fellowship with faculty and students will aid you in your consideration of theological study.  *Make me to know your ways, O Lord;* *teach me your paths.* *Lead me in your truth and teach me,* *for you are the God of my salvation;* *for you I wait all the day long.* Psalm 25:4-5 ![gold banner](https://events.augustine.edu/hs-fs/hubfs/gold%20banner.png?width=1341&height=16&name=gold%20banner.png "gold banner") ![King David Icon](https://events.augustine.edu/hs-fs/hubfs/King%20David%20Icon.png?width=640&height=851&name=King%20David%20Icon.png "King David Icon") ## What to Expect - 1-2 night stay in the Residence Towers - Exclusive lectures on the Psalms taught by the faculty of the Graduate School - The opportunity to discern graduate studies at the feet of our eucharistic Lord in adoration and Holy Mass - A tour of campus highlighting the sacred art throughout the buildings - A nature walk through the wooded trails of the campus along the Missouri River - Social events with professors and students **Who Should Attend:** Prospective on-campus or distance education students interested in a master's degree with the Augustine Institute.   ## Schedule ##### SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18 **3:00–5:00 P.M.** Check-In **5:15 P.M.** Vespers **5:30 P.M.** Dinner & Introductions **6:30 P.M.** Campus Tour ##### MONDAY, OCTOBER 19 **7:00 A.M.** Breakfast **7:30 A.M.** Adoration **8:30 A.M.** Lauds **9:15 A.M.** Lecture: *Praying the Psalms with King David,* Dr. Jonathan Reyes **10:30 A.M.** Lecture: *Augustine and the Psalms,* Dr. Christopher Mooney **12:00 P.M.** Mass **12:30 P.M.** Lunch **1:45 P.M.** Lecture: *Christ’s Embodiment  of the Psalms, Dr. Michael Barber* **2:45 P.M.** Free Time / Rosary Walk **3:45 P.M.** A Guide to Graduate School **4:30 P.M.** Wine & Cheese **5:30 P.M.** Dinner **7:00 P.M.** Ice Cream Social ![GST626-6](https://events.augustine.edu/hs-fs/hubfs/GST626-6.jpg?width=1333&height=2000&name=GST626-6.jpg "GST626-6") ![gold banner](https://events.augustine.edu/hs-fs/hubfs/gold%20banner.png?width=1341&height=16&name=gold%20banner.png "gold banner") ## Faculty & Sessions ![Jonathan Reyes](https://events.augustine.edu/hs-fs/hubfs/Headshots%20(27)-1.png?width=150&height=150&name=Headshots%20(27)-1.png "Jonathan Reyes") ### Jonathan Reyes, Ph.D. --- **Lecture One: Praying the Psalms with King David** --- Speaker Bio As one of the founding members of the Augustine Institute, Dr. Reyes serves as the St. Augustine Chair of the Evangelization of Culture.
